Meeting DOT SAP Requirements

Industries with safety-sensitive employees who are regulated by the Department of Transportation must have a substance abuse policy that calls for the utilization of SAP (Substance Abuse Professional) services. The Department of Transportation regulations require that all employees of regulated companies who have a non-negative drug and/or alcohol test be evaluated by a SAP before the employee may return to a safety sensitive position.
